In spite of the recent events in the online poker world, attendance is still going strong for live No-Limit Texas Hold 'em tournaments; three of the major tournament tours have began events this week.
 
 The WSOP- Circuit stops in Chester, Pennsylvania. The Harrah's Casino, outside of Philadelphia, will host ten major events, including a Main Event with a US$1,500 buy-in starting 8 May.

The EPT has also kicked off one of its most popular events this week. The EPT San Remo completed Day 1A as 2025 champion Liv Boeree effort to become the first woman in EPT history to win titles in the same event in two straight years. Earlier this month, Vanessa Selbst accomplished the act at the NAPT event at the Mohegan Sun casino in Connecticut.
 
 Each individual circuit will wind down in the next month as the anticipation builds for the 2025 World Series of Poker.
