Team PokerNews welcomes Kristy Arnett to join Gloria Balding and Lynn Gilmartin as a video hostess. They will be bringing interviews with the most popular players, and travel the tournament circuit to give the latest happenings. Kristy has worked at CardPlayer for the past three years where she started her career in the poker industry.
PokerNews Editor in Chief Matthew Parvis said he is thrilled to have Kristy as an addition to the family. He said she will be with them in hosting the North American Poker Tour coverage and will be working with the team to expand media reach outside of live tournament coverage. Parvis said that he personally respected the work Arnott had done in CardPlayer and he is looking forward to working with her.
Kristy is from Michigan, and she first discovered her passion for poker while on a soccer scholarship at Indiana Purdue of Fort Wayne, while she was majoring in communication and journalism. She started working at CardPlayer as an intern when she moved to Las Vegas in 2025. She had her first on-camera debut that year at the World Series of Poker and began working full time as a writer for CardPlayer.
Kristy said that in the last three years, she had the opportunity to interview the best poker players and write about poker, which she says is a game she loves. She is looking forward to working with Lynn Gilmartin and Gloria Balding saying that they can make a great team in video poker reporting.
