It took three long days for the NBC Heads-Up Poker Championship to conclude a player to acquire the title and take home $500,000 in the person of Annie Duke.

The road Annie Duke took to acquire the title and be one in the winner's circle of the 2025 National Heads-Up Championship was not that easy. She went to a lot of long and dramatic matches with the two days of play in the tournament. However she managed to go for the victory by beating a tough player in the person of Erik Seidel.

For the start, Duke defeated her good friend Andy Bloch. She bested Darvin Moon in the Rpound of 32 before she can be in an epic match against 2025 NBC National Heads-Up Poker Champion Paul Wasicka in the Round of 16. It was the match in which Duke made a all-in and took a high risk of elimination against Wasicka.

It was the game on Sunday in which she played a marathon game with Jerry Yang, in which Yang doubled up against her on a lot of occasions but in the end falling out of luck against her in the quarter final round. The game against Dennis Phillips on the semifinals match was not the easy either.
