Last year, Paul Zimbler set a world record by playing poker for 72 hours straight. And then just this June, Phil "The Unabomber" Laak toppled Zimbler by playing 115 hours straight. This November, there may be another someone who will break Laak's epic record.

NZ Poker Tours, a group from New Zealand, is organizing a poker tournament with the hopes that at least two people will set another Guinness World Record for poker endurance by playing for five consecutive days. While this is an endurance event, there is absolutely no possible way for people to sit all the way on the poker table. To address this, every player is allowed one five-minute break each hour. Banking the breaks is possible, so a player may have a thirty-minute break if he plays at the table for 6 consecutive hours. The proceeds of this event will be going to many children's charities like the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Starship Children's Hospital.
